Carline T. Thermitus

EVERYDAY I PRAY

Carline Thermitus

Everyday I pray
For God to show me the way
I am down on my knees
Asking free me please
Break this bondage
That’s holding me hostage

Sometimes I feel so lost
I forget the cost
I lay down my cross
Don’t know who to trust

Jesus I am so confuse
I want to be use
To spread your word
But the devil is so loud
I cannot be heard

Was it not your skin
That was pierced for my sin
Were it not you they hung on a tree
So I can be free
All that I face
It’s through your grace
That I make it through
So tell me what to do

You keep me whole
From head to toe
You saved my soul
So wherever I go
Keep me in your love
For my citizenship is with you above
I know am not yet home
I am just a passenger inside this great dome

So before my travel comes to an end
And I’ve taken my last spin
And this vessel is no longer mine
Help me to walk on a heavenly line
Let me not give you a Judas kiss
For I need to be on your list
To be bathe in your heavenly bliss
For I know I am just a morning mist

So again I pray
Help me to stay
With what you say
To walk in your will
Until this body still
